Ryan Kinasewich, a Croatian-Canadian former professional ice hockey player who was born August 20, 1983, is most notably a member of the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) and the American Hockey League.
Kinasewich signed with the Grizzlies AHL and Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2007-08. Both teams were co-ordinating as an affiliate to the New York Islanders. Kinasewich had only 5 points in 24 games before returning to the Grizzlies as co-leader with 60 points. This included an All-Time record 6 points (1 goal and 5 assists) in a match against the Phoenix RoadRunners, January 16, 2008. Ryan was a Grizzlies player in 2008-09. He also played in the ECHL with Ryan. Ryan had stints with the Hamilton Bulldogs and Lake Erie Monsters in AHL before returning to the Grizzlies with a season-ending injury in February.
Unable to establish himself above the ECHL level, on July 4, 2010, Kinasewich of Croatian descent left North America and signed a one-year contract as a free agent with Croatian team, KHL Medveščak Zagreb, of the EBEL. After leading Zagreb for a second consecutive year in scoring with 54 points in 49 games, Kinasewich signed with fellow team, EC Red Bull Salzburg, on May 11, 2012.
Kinasewich stay with Red Bull in the 2012–13 season was short lived as after 14 games he was mutually released from his contract. On October 31, 2012, he signed for the remainder of the season in Italy with Milano Rossoblu.
Kinasewich, who had been injured and was on the sidelines for 2005-06, was traded by the Royals. He was then traded to the Utah Grizzlies, a fellow ECHL team. Ryan was the ECHL’s top goal scorer with 39 goals. Ryan led the Grizzlies to 85 points in 60 games. After initially signing back with Royals, Kinasewich returned to Utah to continue his offensive prowess. He was traded to Utah prior to the 2006-07 season. Kinasewich led the Grizzlies with 29 goals and 59 point despite suffering a season-ending injury against the Fresno Falcons on February 14, 2007.

Kinasewich, who was originally selected in 37th place in the 1998 WHL Bantam Draft, joined Jay Bouwmeester, the first overall draft pick at the Medicine Hat Tigers. Ryan spent two seasons with the Tigers and then joined the Tri- City Americans in 2001-02, where he scored 39 goals for the Americans.
Kinasewich signed with the Reading Royals in the ECHLHL as an undrafted free agent after completing his junior season. Ryan was named player of the week by the ECHL. He later played in the ECHL All-Star Game. Ryan signed a professional try-out deal with the Manchester Monarchs (affiliated to the Los Angeles Kings).
On September 8, 2009, he re-signed to a one-year contract to captain the Grizzlies for the 2009–10 season. On October 24, 2009, Kinaeswich scored two goals in a 5-3 defeat to the Idaho Steelheads to tie and surpass Chris Taylor as the All-Time goal scoring leader in Grizzlies history. Two weeks later Kinasewich posted a 5-point night (3 goals and 2 assists) in an 8-3 rout of the Las Vegas Wranglers, to again surpass Taylor’s 278 points as the All-Time Franchise scoring leader on November 14. Enjoying one of the best starts to a season in ECHL player history with 27 points in 12 games, Ryan was then signed to an AHL PTO contract with the Bulldogs on November 16, 2009. After 5 scoreless games in the AHL with the Bulldogs, and a four-point contribution in a brief return to the Sound Tigers, Ryan primarily remained with Utah. He tied Kip Miller for most goals in a Grizzlies season, leading the ECHL with 48 goals and scoring 103 points in just 59 games. Named as a starter to the ECHL All-Star game and selected to the ECHL first All-Star Team Ryan was also named as the only runner-up as the ECHL MVP. After five years, Kinasewich finished his prolific scoring tenure with the Grizzlies as the Franchise record holder in goals (156), assists (200) and points (356).
