Ruslan began working as a journalist for KST (Konotop), a TV production company, after his return from overseas. Ruslan then worked at the Eastern Project newspaper (Kramatorsk), and the Alternative media group, Kyiv. He has been working at Magnoliya-TV since 1998 and was appointed Executive Director of ChP.INFO (ChP.info). Ruslan Gorovyi started his project “Children’s Search Service” in 2001. His goal was to help find missing children. He made videos and printed material about them, informed the public, collected and processed information (“Children’s Search Service”) reception and telephone hotline) and helped lost children return home.
He graduated from the Kyiv National Universities of Culture and Arts in 2006 with honors, specializing as a director for television and cinema.
