Yanes’ is an American photographer who was born in Cuba in 1965, he studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York in the early Eighties. He began working as a photographer as a teenager. After completing his college education, he began working for the publishing house Condé Nast for Gourmet magazine. Romulou A. Yanes, has photographed being on the road and in the studio, both home styled and restaurant dishes, chefs, ingredients, food markets, and entertaining features. Romulo A. Yanes was born and raised in Cuba; however, his family were exiled from the country after Fidel Castro’s take over. Romulo studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He assisted photographers Frances McLaughlin- Gill, Irene Stern and Carl Fisher. Later he continued his career at Condé Nast’s publication Gourmet. He was the staff photographer at Gourmet for over twenty five years before the publication finally concluded in 2009.
