Emily Nkanga is one of the most popular and richest Photographer who was born on May 21, 1995 in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. It was in 2012 that Nkanga started to take an interest in photography following her previous experiments with other art forms. She started an internship with famous Nigerian photographer August Udoh in his company Orbit Imagery, and after her internship in 2013, she received an opportunity to enter the world of entertainment. In 2014, under the guidance from The Zone Agency (then M.et.al Entertainment), Nkanga began snapping pictures of live performances and events.
Nkanga is the person who is responsible for Rapper Olamide’s album cover (The Glory) Lil Kesh’s debut album cover. Ycee’s initial wave EP’s cover and Maryokun’s debut album cover the Mayor of Lagos and promotional images for Mr Eazi’s Lagos to London mixtape. In 2018, Nkanga started handling tour content for British singer Not3s.
In October of 2016 she launched Clicks and Tones which is an online photography brand under her own company, Emily Nkanga Photography, that focuses on only the recording of music events. One year later, clicks and Tones morphed into a media-based platform, creating images to promote musicians outside the mainstream, with Nkanga retaining acting as creative director.

She also has worked for The Lagos State Government, Let’s Talk Humanity and the Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) which is a program that is supported with the help of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Nkanga has been involved in a number of projects, including an ethnographic research/documentation of the Boko Haram internally displaced people in northeast Nigeria.
