The 36-yard touchdown pass from Bills quarterback Joe Ferguson as time expired won the game for Buffalo, 20-17. The win proved to be crucial in giving Buffalo the final playoff spot in the AFC in 1981.
He was a senior in 1974 and finished second to Fritts on the team with 136 carries for 805 yards, a 6.3 yard average, and 9 rushing touchdowns. He completed his college career with 246 carries, 1,368 yards, an average of 5.6 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
