Scocco released “Kall Stjarna”, a single from his album Herr Jimsons aventyr (“The adventures and Mr. Jimson”) in the fall 2005. It reached the top of the iTunes singles downloads list.

Mauro Scocco was also a singer in the four-piece Swedish band Ratata, which was formed in 1980 by Scocco, Heinz Liljedahl and Anders Skog. He is not only a solo artist, but also produces music for pop singers like Lisa Nilsson. Scocco wrote “Himlen hornet”, (“Heaven around her corner”), for her. It became a huge hit in Scandinavia in 1990s and helped her climb the charts.
