Rod Jensen is one of the most popular and richest Rugby League Player who was born on January 19, 1979 in Atherton, California, United States. Rod Frederick Jensen, a former Australian professional rugby league footballer, was born 19 January 1979. Jensen played previously for the Northern Pride in Queensland Cup. He also played in the Super League for the Huddersfield Giants, North Queensland Cowboys and the National Rugby League for the Huddersfield Giants. For five seasons, he also played for the Canberra Raiders. Jensen began his professional career with the Adelaide Rams, a now- defunct Super League side.
Jensen was a Northern Pride player in the Queensland Cup, scoring 19 tries before he retired following the 2009 season. Jensen resigned to join the Northern Pride midway through the 2010 season, where they won the Queensland Cup premiership. After the 2010 and 2012 seasons, he was with the Northern Pride club until he left to join the Mareeba Gladiators.
Jensen was well-known for his versatility and speed, and was often called ‘Rocket’. Jensen was able to live up to his nickname during the final stages of 2007 Super League. He had several length-of the-field attempts, including one against Warrington Wolves. This allowed him to be crowned Super League’s fastest man by beating Kevin Penny, who is one the fastest players in Super League.
