Cartwright was also part of the Oakland Raiders, and San Francisco 49ers.

Carwright signed on March 15, 2012 with the San Francisco 49ers. He was released August 31, 2012.

This record had previously been held by Brian Mitchell, who was drafted in the seventh round of 2002 NFL Draft. In 2006, he also scored his first touchdown kickoff return against the Dallas Cowboys. He was ranked second in NFC kickoff returns in 2007. He was released March 4, 2010.
