Rahm began his senior-level playing in the third-tier Swedish league Division 1 youth team Sunne IK. After being used as a backup goaltender from the 2002-03 season and then becoming the primary goaltender in 2005-06, Rahm was the first goaltender. He played in 22 games and had a.917 save rate. He was also ranked second in Division 1 E in save percentage that season, even though Sunne was second in their division.
Rahm participated in 28 games during the 2006-07 season and increased his save percentage to.921. Sunne’s sixth place finish didn’t qualify them for an Allettan slot. They moved on to the spring series, where Rahm recorded a remarkable.942 save rate with two shutouts in five of the games. Rahm was temporarily loaned to Sodertalje SK (HokeyAllsvenskan) for two games. He also served as a backup goaltender in Elitserien.
In August 2010, as a result of testing positive for use of doping, Rahm was suspended from all professional ice hockey in the 2010–11 season as well as 2011–12. He returned in the 2012–13 season, signing a two-year deal with then- reigning Elitserien (SEL) champions Brynäs IF.
