Robin Barton, born 5 November 1958, is a British art dealer who specializes in Banksy’s. Barton was a student of graphic design and photography at the Exeter College of Art and Design. This was his first encounter of Russell Young. In 1980, he moved to London and began his freelance photography career for magazines like Sounds, NME and Blitz. He then went on to work for Independent Magazine, where he photographed Sir Alec Guinness and Oliver Reed. He also worked later for the Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph and Elle magazines, as well as Vogue, Tatler, Blueprint, Tatler, Blueprint, Vogue and Tatler.
Barton was responsible in late 2014 for Banksy’s Art Buff being removed and sold. He also put it up for auction to raise funds for a cancer charity named Jimmy Godden.
He hosted and curated the controversial first show of Pete Doherty blood paintings in 2007 to coincide with his autobiography Books of Albion.
