Robert Ingemar Nordmark, born August 20, 1962, is a retired professional Swedish ice hockey player. In 2007/2008, he was the head coach of Almtuna IS (the Swedish second-division) but was fired in November 2007 due to poor results. He is an European Scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also used to be an European Scout for the Edmonton Oilers. Robert Eldebrink is his cousin.
Nordmark was back to his best in the Elitserien. He was a top defender for many more seasons in that league with VIK Vasteras HK, Djurgardens IF and earned another invitation to the 1995 World Championships. In 1995-96, he had one of his best seasons. He scored 16 goals and 29 points in Lukko Rauma’s Finnish SM-liiga. After his stints in Britain, Austria, Switzerland and Britain, he retired in 2001 to become a coach. While coaching Djurgarden in 2003-04, he was in retirement due to an injury crisis. He scored 7 points in 14 games, at the age 41.
Nordmark, however, was unable duplicate his 1988-89 success. He was unable to replicate his success in 1989-90. His defensive play became more erratic, and he was a target of boo-birds at Canuck home games. He was again disappointed in the 1990-91 season. He finished with 8 points in 45 games. After that year, he was let go by the Canucks to allow him to return to Sweden.

The Detroit Red Wings drafted Nordmark 191st in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. This was after Sweden won their first gold medal at World Junior Championships 1981. Nordmark was not signed by the Red Wings despite solid performances in the Swedish Elite League over the years. His draft rights were revoked in 1984. The St. Louis Blues drafted Nordmark 59th in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
Nordmark was a member of the Blues’ 1987-88 lineup. He scored 3 goals and 18 assists, for 21 points, in 67 games. He was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a draft pick for Dave Richter. He would have a great year with the Canucks in 1988-89, scoring 6 goals, 35 assists, and 41 points. Paul Reinhart was also a fantastic powerplay partner. He also had a great playoff run, scoring 3 goals and 5 points over 7 games.
