In 2008, Jaspert was Littbarski’s assistant in Iran for Saipa F.C. and later for Liechtenstein’s FC Vaduz.
After a brief break from football, Jaspert assumed control of Al Ahed’s Lebanese Premier League team, which was supported by Hezbollah. Jaspert was not at home when he was attacked by bombers at the Beirut hotel where he was staying. Two footballers, one of them Hussein Dokmak, were also killed in the bombing.

During his amateur playing career, Jaspert represented SF Kladow and Hertha Zehlendorf as well as SC Wacker 04 Berlin, SC Wacker 04 Berlin. Preussen Wilmersdorf was also a member of SC Rapide Wedding. He was promoted to the position of head coach for the first team in November 2000. Jaspert lost 7 consecutive matches in the Regionalliga Nord and was eventually replaced by Friedhelm Haebermann in March 2001.
Jaspert served as assistant manager to Pierre Littbarski, MSV Duisburg’s 2001-02 season. This was a position in which he also played from 2004 to 2005 under Jo Bonfrerere for South Korea’s national football team.
In January 2012, Jaspert was announced as a joint manager of Croatian club NK Karlovac alongside Krešimir Ganjto after the club was taken over by German company Haag Sportmanagement but the deal never took place.
