Robert Lawrence Carter Jr. was born April 4, 1994 and is an American professional basketball player who plays for Shimane Susanoo Magic in the Japanese B.League. He was born in Thomasville, Georgia. He played basketball at his high school in Thomasville and Shiloh High in Snellville. Carter was a collegiate basketball player for Georgia Tech and Maryland.

He signed with Afyon Belediye, Basketbol Super Ligi on December 23, 2018.

Carter was a member of the Lithuanian club Lietuvos rytas Vilnius before the 2017-18 season. On December 5, 2017, the player signed for another club. Gaziantep Basketbol, a Turkish Super League side, announced that Carter signed for them the following day. Carter chose to opt out of a contract with Gaziantep Basketbol in order to sign with Zhejiang Golden Bulls, a Chinese basketball association on August 13, 2018. He never played for Zhejiang.

After two seasons playing for the Yellow Jackets in 2013, Carter Jr. moved to Maryland in June 2014. He was a junior red-shirt player and received honorable mention from both coaches and media for his all-Big Ten honorable inclusion.
