Robb-Davon Butler, born September 14, 1981, is an American football defensive back. He played one season for the San Diego Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). He was a three year letterman in football and track at Perry Traditional Academy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1998, he was awarded All-State football honors. Butler was a cornerback in college football at Pittsburgh for 2 years. He transferred to Robert Morris where he played wide receiver. Redshirted his first year, he caught 29 passes for 459 yard his second season. He was promoted to strong safety in his senior season of 2003, and was awarded First Team Division I-AA All-American. He signed with the Chargers after being undrafted in 2004 NFL Draft. In 2004, he played in five games with the Chargers, recording seven tackles and two kickoff return. Later, he spent time with the Baltimore Ravens. He also played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City Brigade. Erie RiverRats. Wheeling Wildcats.
Butler was a three year letterman at Perry Traditional Academy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He played both receiver and defensive back. In 1998, he was awarded First Team Associated Press Big School All-State honours. He was named to 1999 AAA Pennsylvania Big 33 Team. This team participated in the Big 33 Classic, July 24, 1999. Butler was also named to the 1998 Pittsburgh Post- Gazette ‘Fabulous 22’ Team. He was also selected to the Pittsburgh Tribune- Review/Fox Sports Pittsburgh’s “Terrific 25,” Team. He was also awarded first- team All-Pittsburgh City League recognition two times.
Butler signed with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL) on April 25, 2004, after going undrafted in the 2004 NFL Draft, becoming the fifth player in Robert Morris history to sign an NFL contract. He was released by the Chargers on September 5 and signed to the team’s practice squad the following day. He was promoted to the active roster of the Chargers on November 30, 2004. Butler played in five games for the team during the 2004 season, recording three solo tackles and four tackle assists. He also returned two kickoffs for 35 yards. He was released by the Chargers on September 3, 2005.
On November 11, 2005, Butler was signed to the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. He was promoted to the team’s active roster on December 30. He re-signed with the Ravens on May 18, 2006. Butler was released by the team on September 2, 2006.
Before choosing Pittsburgh, Butler visited Maryland, Wisconsin, Wisconsin, and NC State. On February 7, 1999, he signed his letter d’intent.

Butler’s senior year saw him record 35 receptions for 631 yard and 14 touchdowns. He also had two kick returns and two punt returns.
