The Los Angeles Kings drafted Seeley in the 6th round, number 137 overall, in 1997 NHL Entry Draft. However, Seeley never played in the NHL. He was a member of the Lowell Lock Monsters as well as the Manchester Monarchs, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and the Norfolk Admirals. He was also a part of the East Coast Hockey League, where he played for the Trenton Titans. He moved to Germany in 2006 and played for Fuchse Duisburg in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. He played in the 2007-08 season for Vienna Capitals, Austria. He had 20 assists and 22 points in 38 games. After that, he signed with EHC Black Wings Linz in 2008-09.
Seeley signed a one year contract for the 2009-10 season after he was granted a trial period with KHL Medvescak on November 10, 2009.
