Richard Joseph Edwin Douglas, born 6 February 1987, is an ex- professional Australian rules football player who played in the Australian Football League. Adelaide selected him with 16th pick in the 2005 national draft.

Douglas started to regain his 2010 form towards 2012 after he lost consistency from injuries in 2011-2012. In June 2012, he signed a three-year contract with Adelaide and played in his 100th AFL game against St Kilda shortly afterwards. Douglas enjoyed one of his most memorable years at the club, finishing second in the Malcolm Blight Medal competition and being named to the preliminary All Australian squad. He was ranked third for the inside 50s competition, eighth for goal assists and second for disposals marks and tackles at the club.

Douglas was given more responsibility as a player in the injury-stricken Adelaide side in 2010. Douglas embraced the chance and won the Malcolm Blight Medal (club’s best and fairest award) in 2010. He also won the Coaches Award. It was a memorable year, in which he played in all 22 matches and signed a new deal with the club.
