In 2015, he was inducted into UC Berkeley’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni.

Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize, and the Georgia Tech ANAK Award (2008), the highest honor the undergraduate student body can bestow on a Georgia Tech faculty member.

Reginald DesRoches (born April 30, 1967) was named the William and Stephanie Sick Dean of Engineering at the George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University in July 2017.
