After her brother Al Nalli signed Brownsville Station to Big Tree Records, Nalli went to New York in 1971 to learn about the business. She met Dick Webber, who introduced her to Doug Morris, who was one of Nalli’s mentors. She was a receptionist for many years before she became the National Promotion Director after Dick Webber’s departure.
Nalli opened A&R Consultants again in 2001. It was a management and consulting company that worked with musicians such as Kris Thomas, Joe Robinson, Kris Thomas and Griffin House. A miniseries in Australia called INXS: Never tear us apart was broadcast in 2014. It was based on the rise and fall of INXS. Jacinta Staleton, an Australian actress, played the role of Nalli.
Her many artists included the platinum-selling rock band Blue October. Nalli was astonished to discover Indian.Arie, a neo-soul singer she met after her Lilith Fair 1999 performance. Nalli brought Arie to Nashville in order to start working on her music. Her debut Acoustic Soul album was RIAA Double Platinum Certified in 2001.

In 1979, Morris became President of ATCO Records. Nalli was responsible for marketing and publicizing the label’s roster, including Pete Townsend’s solo project. He also managed all Atlantic’s custom labels such as Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records, Stevie Nick’s Modern Records, and the Rolling Stones’ Rolling Stones Records. Nalli signed Yes to ATCO and revived their careers with the release 90125. This album was the best of their careers and spent the majority of 1984 on Billboard’s Top 10. Nalli signed the Australian rock band INXS (Australian rock band) to ATCO in 1981. They released Shabooh Shoobah, which went gold. They released their most successful album Kick (the INXS album), which was Platinum six times in America. It also had four Top Ten hits, including “Need you Tonight”, which was the number one hit. Doug Morris was elected President of Atlantic Records, and Nalli became the Head of ATCO Records in 1981.
After 14 years, Nalli moved back to Ann Arbor, where she founded A&R Consultants, a grassroots marketing company that works with many labels like Interscope, Geffen and Epic. In the 1990s, she closed her company and returned home to Nalli Music, her family’s music store. Later, she moved to Nashville to become a consultant for Universal Music Group.
