Ragnvald Soma, a Norwegian footballer, was born 10 November 1979. He plays as a defender at his childhood club Froyland Idrettslag. He signed for them on 02/02/2014, effectively retiring from professional football.
Soma was promoted to SK Brann after Bryne was relegated at end of 2003 season. He was voted player-of-the-year by many newspapers and became a regular member of the Norway national team squad. He transferred to Viking in March 2006 for an undisclosed amount, believed to be approximately PS500,000. Brann also received back Bjorn Dahl as part-exchange.
After a spell with the Danish Superliga side Nordsjælland, Soma joined the Danish 1st Division side Lyngby. After his contract with Lyngby expired, he was training with his old club Viking. He played the second half of 2013 for Førde IL.
