The Seahawks signed Jefferson off the Rams practice squad on October 2, 2017. Jefferson was kicked out of the Seahawks’ practice squad in Week 14. He had been involved in a fight with some Jacksonville Jaguars players. Some Jacksonville fans started throwing drinks at Jefferson as he was about to leave the field. Jefferson tried to climb into the stands to attack fans but was stopped by a team official.
On September 2, 2017, Jefferson was waived by the Seahawks.
In Week 1 of the 2019 season against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jefferson recorded six tackles and sacked Andy Dalton twice in the 21-20 win.
After the Seattle Seahawks swapped seventh-round picks with New England Patriots, Jefferson was drafted in fifth round of 2016 NFL Draft. They also gave them a fourth-round pick in 2017 NFL Draft to make Jefferson a #147 pick. The Seahawks signed Jefferson to their rookie contract on May 6, 2016. After sustaining a knee injury, he was placed on injured reserve in October 2016.
