Pooja Gandhi, born Sanjana Gandhi, is an Indian actress, producer, and performer. She primarily works in Kannada films, but she also does work in Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. After starring in the 2006 commercially successful film Mungaru Male she became one of South India’s most loved and highest-paid actresses and was also the recipient of many awards. Gandhi was popularly known as “Male Hudugi” (Rain Girl), in the Kannada film and media industry.

She starred with Ajay Rao in 2008’s Kannada language film Taj Mahal. Sify’s critic said that Pooja Gandhi looked beautiful and had done a great job. She was also nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Budhivanta, which she starred in with Upendra was her next film. It was the highest-grossing Kannada film in 2008.

She made her debut in Hindi film with I Am 2011, together with Juhi Chawla. ‘I Am’ received mainly positive reviews from critics.
