On May 19th 2012 Lindgren signed an agreement for Kontinental Hockey League club Atlant Mytishchi. In his first season, 2012-13, the team in November Atlant chose to put Lindgren on the list of waivers which was later taken as a player by Amur Khabarovsk.

Lindgren played for Ilves Tampere within Tampere’s Finnish SM-liiga when Lindgren was selected 75th overall at the time of the NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. Lindgren was signed to an entry level deal for the Stars and, during the 2009-10 season, he made the NHL debut, appearing in just one contest with the Stars.
Lindgren was a player for Finland in Finland’s participation in the 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
