Paul Cullen (born 4 March 1963) is a English professional football league trainer and former athlete. He is currently in the role of Director of Rugby for Widnes Vikings in the Super League after being the coach of the club prior to being promoted to the Championship. Cullen has previously worked with his team the Warrington Wolves as well as England. He also contributes commentary to Sky Sports rugby league coverage.
After his playing career ended around 1996 Cullen became a coach. Cullen was as a coach at Warrington. He played in the under-21 team and as an assistant coach.
In 2006 he was appointed the Head Coach of England ‘A’ ahead of the Federation Shield tournament in the autumn.
On 26 May 2008, following a run of poor form that culminated in a 36–28 to struggling Castleford, Cullen resigned from his position as Head Coach amid heavy pressure from fans and pundits. He was the longest-serving coach in the league at the time of his departure, having spent six years in charge of the Wires and guided them to a Challenge Cup semi-final and a play-off victory.
Paul Cullen played right-centre, i.e. number 3 in Warrington’s defeat of 4-18 to Wigan at the time of the 1986-87 John Player Special Trophy Final during the 1986-87 campaign in Burnden Park, Bolton on the 10th of January, 1987. playing loose forward for the victory of 12-2 against Bradford Northern in the 1990-91 Regal Trophy Final during the 1990-91 season at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on January 12, 1991. He also played left-second-row, i.e. number 11 in the 10-40 loss of Wigan at the time of the 1994-95 Regal Trophy Final during the 1994-95 season at Alfred McAlpine Stadium, Huddersfield on January 28, 1995.

Paul Cullen joined Warrington in 1980 after a stint with local Amateur side Crosfields ARLFC , where he was a part-time player until he was 17. Cullen played mostly in the central position for the club. He was referred to as “psycho”, despite limited offensive flair, Cullen had an aggressive defense, which was a popular choice with the crowd.
