Patrick Weiser (born 25 December 1971) is an German ex-footballer, who was midfielder as well as defensive defender. After retiring from football, the game, he has taken up coaching.
As of August, 2005 Weiser was back with his old club 1. FC Koln, signing a two-year contract. He made only few matches for his club during their time as a league team, DFB Cup and Intertoto Cup.
In October 2012, he moved to the role of head coach at English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he reunited with Ståle Solbakken who he had previously been assistant to at 1. FC Köln. However, Weiser was sacked along with Solbakken in January 2013.
After making 110 appearances for 1. FC Koln over six seasons and then he left to France at the end of July to join Rennes. He was a key member for their first XI in his debut Ligue 1 campaign, but the appointment to the role of Paul Le Guen as manager was a factor in his participation during the 1998-99 campaign become less frequent.
