Patrick Mannelly (born April 18 1975) is an ex- American soccer long snapper. He played his college football at Duke and was picked for the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Mannelly played for his fellow Bears for 16 seasons before taking a break in 2014. He is widely regarded as the top long snapper in modern football and was given the title Mannelly by sports columnist Rick Gosselin and special teams NFL agent Kevin Gold. Mannelly has also been a sports talk at midday anchor in Chicago on the radio show 670 The Score.

In 2006 the Kicker Robbie Gould claimed that Mannelly was a key part of his successful season. He was awed by him during the Pro Bowl acceptance speech. Gould believed that he was an NFL’s lesser-known heroes.

In a 2011 game against the San Diego Chargers, Mannelly ruptured his ACL, and was placed on injured reserve.

In 2012, Mannelly broke the record for most seasons with the Bears with 15. On December 24, 2012, Mannelly signed a one-year deal with the Bears.

The Bears selected Mannelly at the six-round of the 1998 NFL Draft. According to Bears record, he snapped a ball 2282 times in his NFL career, without missing a snap.
