Shaun Patrick Price (born March 24 1955) is a Canadian former professional player of ice hockey who played for the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the Vancouver Blazers and the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Quebec Nordiques, New York Rangers and Minnesota North Stars.
After retirement, Price returned to his hometown of Nelson, British Columbia. In the beginning of 2000, Price became a volunteer coach for the youth hockey club in the area. He helped them reach the Provincials during their 1997-98 season.
In spite of the initial expectation that he’d be a scoring defenseman for Vancouver in his first year, Price became a well-balanced professional, playing seventy-six total NHL games over the course of 13 seasons in which he scored scores of 43 goals as well as 218 assists before resigning in 1988.

Price was not able to match the Blazers expectation, scoring 34 points during 1974/75 WHA season. He was drafted into the NHL after being picked eleventh by the New York Islanders in the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft.
