He was selected into the Cincinnati Bengals in the 5th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played in the NCAA football tournament during his time at Eastern Illinois.

In 2011, Hudson spent part of the season on the active roster, and on the practice team. The coach Paul Alexander said he was one of the best players at summer camp in the year 2011.

Hudson signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on May 1, 2014. He was released August 25.

His graduation was in the class of Eastern Illinois University and helped his team win All Conference and All Area distinctions. Following graduation, he travelled to California to learn using Travelle Gains from Performance Gaines. Otis was raised and born in Chicago. He played sports to keep from getting into trouble. He was a fan of basketball football, baseball, and basketball. While Hudson began middle school, he joined one of the players in AAU basketball team, which was directed by Douglas Keys. He began playing football in the 8th grade, and soon realized that his athletic abilities in football. He played on the offensive line for the varsity as well as the defensive line when the school was freshman at John Marshall High School. He also was on the basketball team of the varsity as a center. As an incoming sophomore at High School, he informed his parents that he would like to relocate to the suburbsas the area offered him an opportunity to play NCAA football. Otis as well as his entire family relocated from Barrington, IL. He played basketball and football on varsity during his time at Barrington High School and graduated in 2005.

On July 7th, 2010, Hudson accepted the terms of his rookie contract with Cincinnati Bengals. Hudson was signed as the right-hand guard backup. On September 4 the 4th of September, 2010, he was released to the Bengals. He was cleared of waivers, and was reinstated to the Bengals practice team.

Hudson spent the entire 2012 season on the Bengals’ practice squad. On August 10, 2013, after an ankle injury caused Bengals rookie Tanner Hawkinson to be sidelined indefinitely, the Bengals re-signed Hudson. Hudson was later released during final roster cuts.
