Orest Michael Kindrachuk (born on September 14th 1950) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center who played for 10 seasons with the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.
After playing hockey, Kindrachuk went into the packaging and insurance industry in the Philadelphia region. In August 2012, he became an US citizen.
Kindrachuk was transferred with the Pittsburgh Penguins prior to the 1978-79 NHL season, and the player would go on to play three seasons as team captain. The team signed him to the Washington Capitals in 1981, however, he only played four games before having to pull out because of injuries.

Kindrachuk played in his junior hockey with The Saskatoon Blades. He wasn’t drafted, and instead signed with the San Diego Gulls after signing as a free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers in July 1971. His NHL debut during the 1972-73 season and was a part of the Flyers full-time during the season 1973-1974.
Kindrachuk became a vital part to the Flyers team after he assisted the team to be the winners of Stanley Cups as a rookie in 1974, and in 1975. “Little O” Kindrachuk spent the majority part of the year in Philadelphia as a center Dave “The Hammer” Schultz and Don “Big Bird” Saleski on the third line of the team. He was with the Flyers for six seasons.
