Anderson was found guilty and exiled from professional tennis because he was accused of fixing during his first round match in the 2016 Latrobe City Traralgon ATP Challenger.
After finding the player in violation of two provisions of the TACP The TACP was found to be in breach by Professor McLaren determined that the 19-month suspension he had been serving, since being suspended for a provisional period in February 2017 was a complete and final sanction for disciplinary. The player was not exempted for a further period or fine was inflicted which means that Anderson could resume professional tennis. But due to his persistent injuries, Anderson was forced to quit and is now an athlete coach for the tennis association, Lifetime tennis.
On 5 January 2017, Anderson was charged with match-fixing his first round match at the 2016 Latrobe City Traralgon ATP Challenger in October 2016. Anderson was approached to tank the first set of his first round match against Australian Harrison Lombe. He lost the first set 4–6, but won the next two 6–0, 6–2.
In September 21 2018, Anderson was convicted of tennis match-fixing charges. The Independent Hearing Officer ruled that 19 months provisional suspension already served by the player was full and final sanction for breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program. The disciplinary case against Anderson was adjudicated by the independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Prof Richard H. McLaren, following an investigation by the Tennis Integrity Unit.
Anderson is most famous for his win at his first title in 2016 at the Australian Open – Boys’ Singles title over Jurabek Karimov.

Anderson began his career at 14 in March of 2013 when he won the opportunity to play a wildcard in one of the Australian the futures event in the in the state of Queensland. He lost in the opening round of both doubles and singles events. Anderson achieved the first rank point of his career in of 2013 when he beat Jay Andrijic in the first round of an Australian futures event held in Cairns. He played Croatian Ivan Dodig in the first round, and lost 7-6 6-1, with a score of 6-2. Anderson was then granted wildcard to tournaments in 2016 including the Australian Open men’s qualifying tournament as well as Junior boys’ tournament. Anderson lost during the 2nd round of the qualifying event, but went on to take the junior singles championship with an impressive three-set win against the Uzbekstan’s Jurabek Karimov at the end of his final. Anderson won his first title as a junior grand slam champion. Anderson was not able to play until the month of May, when the tournament ended in the first round of qualifying for the Busan the Seoul Challengers. Anderson took a further four months off to undergo hip surgery and returned back to playing on playing on the ITF circuit during September. On October 1, Anderson got a wildcard in the Traralgon Challenger. He fell in the second round to John-Patrick Smith. Anderson finished this year with an ATP rating of 736.
In May 2017, Anderson pleaded guilty to the match-fixing charge and was fined $500 by Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court, Victoria. Anderson remains suspended (since February 2017) until the Tennis Integrity Unit investigations, and the independent Anti-Corruption Hearing process that will follow, have concluded. .
