Olin George Kreutz (“k r” U: T the s / ; born 9 June 1977) is an ex- American professional and college footballer who played as an offensive center in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He played in the NCAA football tournament for University of Washington, and received consensus All-American recognition. He was selected into the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft and played professionally for the Bears and the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.
On the 5th of August on the 5th of August, 2011, Kreutz was signed by The New Orleans Saints for a one-year contract worth $2 million, which includes an additional $2 million in incentive payments. Kreutz participated in only four out of Saints the initial six games, but was unable to play two due to an injury to his knee. Kreutz then made the decision to leave the team, claiming that the team had lost the “passion” for the game and that the Saints were believed to be contemplating moving Kreutz onto”left team “left team” list. The interview in which he was interviewed, Kreutz cited Offensive Line coach Aaron Kromer’s constant rebuke as the reason for his departure. An argument with Kromer led to Kreutz accidentally throw quarterback Drew Brees against a wall. Following the incident, Kreutz declared, “it was time for me to go.” He was dismissed from the team on the 22nd of October.
On August 19, 2015, Kreutz signed on to be in the WSCR 670 the Score Bears post game show along with James Williams and Hub Arkush, replacing the recently deceased Doug Buffone.
Over his thirteen-year career with the Bears, Kreutz was selected to six Pro Bowls, was selected once as a 1st team All-Pro, and was one of the team’s most consistent offensive linemen. He started 182 regular-season games for the Bears, second only to Walter Payton.
In a bizarre incident that was similar to his time in college, Kreutz drew controversy during the 2005 NFL season when he broke the jaw of his fellow offensive lineman Fred Miller during an off-practice practice. The NFL punished both players with a fine of $50,000. In October of 2005, Kreutz got an extension of his contract for three years through the season of 2010. The following year, Kreutz was appointed as one of the team’s captains.

Kreutz was a student at his time at the University of Washington, where he was a member of his Washington Huskies football team under coach Jim Lambright. The year 1996 was the first time Kreutz had a heated argument between defensive tackle Sekou Wiggs during a spring workout. The fight continued in the locker room in which Kreutz hit Wiggs and left Wiggs with a fractured jaw. Wiggs lost 65 pounds , and did not return to his position as a starting player. Kreutz was named an undisputed first-team All-American and also earned Pac-10 distinctions in his junior season, following which he decided to go into a professional.
