“About” Kristiansen started his musical career in 2008 by releasing an original track “Vi prekas” with Isabella Leroy. In 2011, he joined forces with Norwegian popular group NastyKutt & Kriss with “Nodlanding” which debuted via Universal Music. The song received significant radio airplay in Norway and led to another release the year 2012, when Robin og Bugges featured him in their track “Backpacker” leading to an appearance at the opening ceremony of the Norway Football Cup. 2013 saw him included as part of”Brun og Blid,” a Staysman & Lazz hit “Brun og Blid” with Katastrofe and M.M.B.
With increasing recognition, Katastrofe had chart success in 2014 on VG Lista which is the most Official Norwegian Singles Chart with “Bleik og sur” as in collaboration with Staysman and M.M.B. Certified as Gold. Other chart hits included “Maria” in 2014 and “Pattaya” in 2015. In 2014, he was shortlisted in”Maria” on “Best Norwegian Act” listing for the MTV Europe Music Awards, but didn’t make the list of nominees. The year 2015 saw him teamed up together with Marcus & Martinus who are twin brothers who were winners of the Melodi Grand Prix Junior. Their track “Elektrisk” featuring Katastrofe made it to #3 in the Norwegian Singles Chart in 2015. Another notable hit was “Typisk Norsk” in cooperation with Norwegian violinist and Eurovision Song Contest 2009 winner Alexander Rybak. Katastrofe was the featured artist on “Si ja! “, an album by Innertier.
