Norbert H. J. Nozy is one of the most popular and richest Conductor who was born on September 9, 1952 in Halle, Flemish Region, Belgium. Norbert H. J. Nozy (born 9 September 1952 in Halen, Belgium) is a modern Belgian conductor musician, music educator, as well as a classical saxophonist.
In 1975, he was employed as a saxophonist with the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides. After a great success in the test of Kapellmeister who was the band’s director, he became the head of his band, the Military Band of the Belgian First Corps in Cologne. Beginning on February 1, 1985, He was the leader of the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides and held that post until the year 2003.
From 1983 to 1985 he served as conductor of the Harmonieorkest St. Michaël Thorn. Since June 27, 2004 he has been the conductor of the Koninklijke Harmonie of Thorn. He is also chief conductor of the Royal Netherlands Army Band “Johan Willem Friso” in Assen.
In the academic year 1973-74, he was an instructor and lecturer in the University of North Texas College of Music in the same year Jim Riggs began teaching saxophone at the University of North Texas.
