Nikos Karvelas (Greek: Nikos Karbelas was born Nikos Leonardos in 8 September 1951) is a Greek producer, songwriter and singer. His record sales have reached millions in his career as a music producer. He is most well-known for his long-running collaboration along with Anna Vissi, while some of his other notable collaborative projects include Tolis Voskopoulos as well as Sakis Rouvas. Karvelas has released a variety of personal studio albums which have enjoyed moderate to huge successes. The year 2012 saw Alpha TV ranked Karvelas as the 13th most highly-certified composer in Greece during the phonographic era.

Karvelas career as a performer began in 1985, when he debuted his first album of studio work in the company of CBS Records Greece, San Diskos Palios (Like An Old Record) which produced two major smashes, Despina and Kalokairines Diakopes (Summer Holidays). The album sold more than 50k copies and went on to become gold. In 1987 the year he released the second studio album Ola Tipota (All or Nothing) and it was made platinum. In the following year, he debuted his third album Dimosies Scheseis (Public Relations) and in 1989, he made his debut album with the name “Tsouzi.” The fifth album came out in 1990 , and was deemed to become an “lucky” album. The album was titled Diavolaki (Little Devil) and went on to become gold. The most popular track on The album’s title was Antistrofi Melissi (Countdown) A duet by Vissi.

In 1996, he released the album To Aroma tis Amartias (The Aroma of Sin) and it became platinum. Next year, the title of his gold album, O Pio Eftihismenos Anthropos Pano Sti Gi (The Happiest Man On Earth), ironically expressed Karvelas’ mood. This certain period, Karvelas moved to London permanently, having enough time and great inspiration to prepare his next steps. He released the album Ena Hrono to Perissotero (One Year the Most). Vissi sang with Nikos the top single of the album which was the name of the album.
