He is a Scottish player who was a former professional footballer and played over 300 matches as a midfielder for the Football League. From 2004 to 2006 Quashie played for Scotland as the nation of his father at the highest level of international competition at 14 times.

He started his career at the age of London as a player at Queens Park Rangers in August 1995. He made his League debut with a defeat of 2-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford just a few months later, on December 15, 1995. The player was not used regularly for the remainder of the season and made just 11 appearances when QPR were dropped to into the Premier League at the end of the 1995-96 season. He also made 13 appearances during the 1996-97 campaign before entering the first eleven regularly during the 1997-98 season, where he made 34 appearances in cup and league matches.
