Nick Douglas, born Nicholas Charles Douklias on August 31, 1967, is an American musician best known as the bass player in Doro Pesch’s 1990 band. In 2001, he released a solo album and will be releasing a second in February 2017. He has worked with many other artists and bands, including Chris Caffery of BLAZE.

Douglas was a bass player on a track of Chris Caffery’s third solo album Pins and Needles. He also went on tour in 2007 with Caffery and Doro. He began to record a solo album and devoted his time to it during breaks between tours.

Nick Douglas has worked with many other musicians and bands. Blaze Bayley and Luca Princiotta were his bandmates in BLAZE’s 2004 and 2005 tours. He was Chris Caffery’s bass player on his Faces Tour 2005. At the end 2005, he reunited Deadly Blessing with his original band Deadly Blessing after a long period of inactivity for live performances and the release an album that contained rare and unreleased material.

He joined the death metal band Deadly Blessing at the age of 19. They were from Turnersville, New Jersey. There he recorded and wrote songs for their first album Ascend From the Cauldron. It was published in 1988 by New Renaissance Records. He decided to quit the band two years later and move to New York City. There, he changed his stage name from Deadly Blessing to Nick Douglas, and had brief experiences in a few New York City bands. Douglas auditioned in 1990 for Doro Pesch, a German hard rock singer. Doro was the former singer in the German heavy metal band Warlock. The group disbanded in

1989. She went on to be a successful solo artist. Douglas has been Doro’s bassist since then. She recorded many albums with Doro and has toured Europe as well as the rest of the world.

Douglas started writing songs at the end of the 1990s and eventually recorded them for Through the Pane. Painkiller Records released the album in 2001, and it was also released in Europe at end 2006.

Nick’s second solo album, Regenerations, was released February and March 2017 in Europe and The US respectively on the German label, Metalville. It went to

4 on the Metal Contraband “most added to radio” charts in North America.
