Nathan McIver Biography

Nathan McIver is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on January 6, 1985 in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft at 254th overall. In 2005-06, he made his professional AHL debut with the Manitoba Moose. McIver was called up to the Canucks in place of injury and made his NHL debut during his AHL season. McIver played in 17 of the Canucks’ 2007-08 games, despite more injuries to their blueline.

He was not interested in the NHL and accepted a tryout at the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp. McIver signed an AHL deal on December 13th to stay with the Bulldogs until the end of the campaign.

On July 23, 2015, McIver signed his first professional contract abroad, agreeing to a one-year contract with Scottish club, Braehead Clan of the EIHL.

On July 19, 2016, it was announced McIver was hired by the Oshawa Generals as an assistant coach.

McIver signed a two year contract with the Boston Bruins as a free agent on July 3, 2010.

Nathan McIver, a former Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman, is now retired. He was a major junior player in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he was drafted 254th by the Vancouver Canucks during the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. McIver was a member of the National Hockey League (NHL), where he played with the Canucks as well as the Anaheim Ducks. McIver is well-known as an agitator, and a fighter. He is currently the assistant coach of the Oshawa Generals OHL.

McIver was not retained by the Bulldogs at the end of the season and on September 12, 2014, the Norfolk Admirals announced they had signed him.
