She rose to fame after being awarded Nouvelle Star 3, the French version Pop Idol.

She joined Festival Mibely in 2003. She also auditioned to Novelle Star, the French version of Pop Idol, but was rejected at the first stage selections in Marseille.

Myriam Abel started singing when she was ten years old and participated in a singing contest at thirteen. After that, she decided to learn singing with Indira Hennei at Les Voix d’Or. She also became her artistic direct. On May 2, 1997, she made her television debut with the program Je passe a la tele. Her public vote was 93%.

An album was reissued with that title, but did not meet massive success. Eventually, Donne only reached the status of a silver disc for selling more than 100,000 copies sold.
