After being recruited by the Connecticut Huskies and Washington Huskies as well as the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Virginia Tech Hokies for their respective teams, Jaiteh signed a two-year contract to play for the Stade Olympique Maritime Boulonnais (French 2nd Division) where he would be able to get more playing time. Jaiteh was a finalist in France’s Pro B MVP Award. His performance of scoring 16.2 points per game and grabbing 9.9 rebounds per match, played in just 27.6 minutes per game, made him a finalist. Jaiteh was named the 2013 LNB Pro B French Player’s MVP award and the LNB Pro B Most Improved player award.

On November 8, 2018, Jaiteh signed a deal with Auxilium Torino.

Jaiteh played soccer with his friends in his youth before he began his basketball career at age 13. Jaiteh started his basketball career at 13 after playing for INSEP.
