She was able to compete in six World Rally Championship events with all her racing expenses covered. She won the Richard Burns Trophy and finished the Wales Rally Great Britain’s final race.

She was the first woman to participate in the Australian Motor Sports Foundation’s International Rising Star Program. In 2006, she received the New South Wales Confederation of Australian Motorsport Young Achiever of Year Award. She was part of the WRC Pirelli Star Driver Program in 2011, and was the youngest and only female participant in the World Rally Championship. She has won numerous championships, including two consecutive Australian Rally Championships in F16 Class in 2007 and 2008. She was the British Ladies Rally Champion in 2009, becoming the first driver from outside the United Kingdom to do so. She was also a participant in the 2013 FIA European Rally Championship. Taylor was the overall winner of the 2016 Australian Rally Championship.
Taylor competed in the Australian Rally Championship 2007 and won the F16 class. This feat was repeated in 2008. A year later, she moved to the United Kingdom to compete in the Suzuki Swift Sport Cup. She won three of six races and was named the British Ladies Rally Champion. She was selected in 2009 and 2010 for the Australian Motor Sport Foundation International Rising Star Program.
In 2015, she became the first woman to win a heat in the Australian Rally Championship in heat one of the opening event in Western Australia, and then the first woman to win an event outright at the National Capital Rally in Canberra. Molly achieved podium positions at every Championship round and finished second overall in the Championship. She was also invited to take part in a 1000 km Endurance Race in Lithuania where her team finished third in their class.
