He played college football in Colorado, and was drafted by Philadelphia Eagles at the sixth round of 1994 NFL Draft.
After Daniel Sepulveda was injured, Berger was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers to replace Paul Ernster. Berger was named Paul Ernster’s replacement and was released by the Steelers on August 30, during final cuts. Berger was discharged by the Steelers on November 5, after he suffered hamstring issues. The team then resigned Ernster. After three poor performances from Ernster, Berger received a re-signing by the Steelers on Nov. 24. Berger grew into a formidable tackling punter as demonstrated by his five tackles during the 2008 season. Two of his key touchdown-saving tackles are the best.
Berger owns a set of nightclubs and restaurants in his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia. He appeared on Millionaire Matchmaker on March 12, 2013 and is now married to Bambi.
The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Berger in the sixth round 1994 NFL Draft.
