Mike LaRocco, born February 12, 1971, is an American ex-professional motocross and supercross rider. From 1988 to 2006, he competed in the AMA Motocross Championships. LaRocco won two AMA Motocross Championships during his nineteen year professional motocross career. He also won one FIM World Supercross title. In 2014, he was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
In 2006, he retired with 53 podium appearances in 450cc and 16 in 125cc classes. He had been in the top five 145 times by the time he retired. In 2014, LaRocco was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame.
He switched to Kawasaki in 1992 and won the 1993 500cc Motocross National Championship. This was the last AMA 500cc class champion after 1993. LaRocco won the 1994 250cc Motocross National Championship, the 2000 World Supercross title, and the 2002 U.S. Open Supercross Championship. LaRocco was hit by another rider at a Supercross event in a small town in 2002. LaRocco was dislocated his wrist and tore ligaments in his leg after the accident. He was forced to withdraw from Supercross for the first time in seven year.

LaRocco was born in Michigan City, Indiana and competed professionally between 1988 and 2006. LaRocco started his motocross career riding a Yamaha, then signed a contract with Suzuki to race for their factory racing team. He placed third at the 1990 AMA 250cc National Championship.
A 120-foot triple jump was built at Red Bud Motocross Track in Buchanan, Michigan, in 1991. It was named after Kong, a jump at LaRocco’s personal track. Tim Ritchie, track co-owner, decided to make a replica jump at Red Bud’s track. Later, it was named after LaRocco because he was the first to clear it on a 125cc motorbike.
