Iggulden signed to Dinamo Riga, Kontinental Hockey League on July 10, 2009. Iggulden had a great debut season in 2009-10, scoring 33 points in 55 games and helping Dinamo to the playoffs.
On June 12, 2011, Iggulden signed a one-year contract with the Växjö Lakers Hockey of the Swedish Elitserien (SEL). After scoring 34 points in 41 games for the Lakers, Iggulden chose to remain in the SEL, moving to fellow club Rögle BK on June 20, 2012.
After spending the 2014–15 season with German club, Kölner Haie, leading the club with 30 points in 49 games, Iggulden opted to remain in the DEL, signing a one-year deal with the Augsburger Panther on August 16, 2015. He made 42 DEL appearances for Augsburg, tallying 28 points. After the season, Iggulden turned down the club’s offer to extend his contract and in May 2016, announced the end of his playing career.
The New York Islanders signed Iggulden as a free agent to a one year deal on July 3, 2008. Iggulden scored his 2nd NHL point on assists to Sean Bergenheim in his Islanders debut. Iggulden was not drafted and, after five years playing for Ridley College prep school in Canada, he came to Cornell University in 2001. He enrolled in Cornell’s School of Hotel Executive Administration Management Studies. Mike Iggulden is British. After four seasons with the Big Red, he signed for the AHL’s Rochester Americans in the final season of 2004-05.
Iggulden was invited by the San Jose Sharks to their September 2005 training camp. Then, after Iggulden had become one of their most consistent performers, the Cleveland Barons signed him to a two year contract on January 16, 2006. Iggulden made his NHL debut with the Sharks in the 2007-08 season. It was his first game with the Sharks.
