Miika Wiikman is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on October 17, 1984 in Mariestad, Västra Götaland, Sweden. Miika split playing time with Al Montoya in the 2008-09 season. After Al Montoya’s trade to Phoenix Coyotes, Wiikman was Hartford’s primary goaltender. He finished the season with a 21-8-3 record and was named Player of the Week. He signed an NHL entry-level NHL contract with the Rangers on April 24, 2008.
After opening the 2009-10 season with Hartford, he was reassigned by the Charlotte Checkers of ECHL. The Rangers traded Wiikman to the Phoenix Coyotes on March 3, 2010 for Anders Eriksson. For the remainder of the season, he was assigned to the San Antonio Rampage AHL affiliate.
In September 2017, Wiikman signed with EIHL new-boys Milton Keynes Lightning as short-term injury cover following an injury to their number one netminder in pre-season.
In August 2018, Wiikman signed for fellow EIHL side Coventry Blaze after it was confirmed that incumbent netminder Kevin Nastiuk was not returning to the club.
Wiikman signed a one year contract with Lukko on April 26, 2010 to return to Finland’s SM -liiga for the 2010-11 season.

Miika Wiikman, a professional Finnish ice hockey goaltender from Sweden, was born October 17, 1984 in Mariestad. He is currently a free agent after last playing for Anglet Hormadi Elite in the Ligue Magnus.
Wiikman began his junior career in Sweden at HV71, before moving to HPK in Finland. With HPK, he won the SM-liiga championship 2006 and was awarded the Jari Kurri trophy for Playoff MVP. On June 4, 2007, he signed an AHL contract for the Hartford Wolf Pack.
On the June 21, 2015, Wiikman continued his journeyman career in moving to England, to play for the Nottingham Panthers of the Elite ice hockey league. Wiikman departed Nottingham in April 2017, following two years with the team.
