Michael Lorenz, born 11 January 1979 in Germany, is an ex- footballer who was a defender and a midfielder. He is currently Arminia Klosterhardt’s assistant coach.
He was hired in July 2017 as a coach/base coordinator for the German Football Association, Berlin. He was responsible for coaching young boys aged 12-15 years olds in practice and additional training to help them get on the right track in collaboration with the Berlin Football Association. At the end of October 2018, he resigned.
On April 9, 2016, he took over the coaching position at relegation-threatened Regionalliga club SSVg Velbert. Lorenz was then released after just six games. He took over as the DJK Arminia Klosterhardt’s coach in April 2017. This was the last game of the season.

Lorenz started his career at FC Berlin before moving to KFC Uerdingen 05,

After one season, Lorenz was relegated from the Bundesliga. Lorenz was transferred to SC Paderborn 07 in 2003. He joined Rot- Weiss Essen two year later. In 2010, he retired from Uerdingen.
Lorenz played professionally from 2006 to 2011. Lorenz was also a youth coach at SV Vonderort (U12-U19). In the summer of 0211, he retired. From 2012 to 2014 Lorenz was also head coach for DJK Arminia Klosterhardt. He was appointed head coach of FC Kray, a regional league club. In the summer 2015, he resigned from the position.
On 21 November 2018, he returned once again to DJK Arminia Klosterhardt, this time as a sporting director. As of April 2020, he was still the club’s sporting director.
