Michael Kleppe Jamtfall, a Norwegian footballer, was born 24 March 1987. He played for Rosenborg between 2005 and 2012. Jamtfall was on loan to Ranheim for parts of 2009, and 2010. He retired from football at 25 after suffering injuries during his career.
Jamtfall was a substitute for three more matches in the following season before he began his first league match against Stabaek on August 4, 2007. The 2011-season started well for Jamtfall and he was a regular in head coach Jan Jönsson’s starting line-up, but in a cup-match against Verdal on 11 May 2011 Jamtfall was again injured and had to get a knee-surgery, which was the third time in four years. Jamtfall was aiming to make a comeback in the summer of 2013, but in May 2012 he decide to retire from football at the age of 25. He stated that he lacked motivation because of all the injuries, and said that “I’ve won the league and played in Europe with Rosenborg, now it’s time to focus on life outside football”. He played 18 league-matches where he scored three goals and a total of 31 matches and five goals for Rosenborg.
Jamtfall made his senior debut in 2005 against Orkla. He then joined Rosenborg’s first team squad following the 2005-season. FK Bodo/Glimt offered Jamtfall a season-long loan contract as a replacement to Trond Olsen, left wing. Rosenborg accepted Bodo/Glimt’s offer, but Jamtfall declined the First Division deal, as he wanted to remain at Rosenborg and wait for his chance for the first-team. Jamtfall made his Tippeligaen debut against Start in Rosenborg’s match on 23 July 2006. He replaced Daniel Braaten at the 88 minute mark and assisted Yssouf Kone with his goal two minutes later. Jamtfall was substituted for Oyvind Steflor in the 68th minute and scored his first league goal when Lillestrom lost 3-1 to Knut Torum, Rosenborg’s first match under its head coach. Jamtfall was a substitute for Oyvind Storflor in the 2006-season, which was enough to win a medal when Rosenborg won Tippeligaen.

Jamtfall was a player for the Norwegian under-17 soccer team, and he also played in two matches the following year for the team. The next year Jamtfall scored one goal in nine matches with the under-18 Norwegian team. He played one match in 2006 for the Norwegian under-19 team, and he was a part of the under-21 team in 2007.
Jamtfall was born Trondheim. He started playing football at the Trondheim clubs National and Astor when he was 15. Jamtfall was a right winger for Rosenborg’s U19 football team. Ranheim’s head coach Per Joar Hansen and assistant coach Otto Ulseth was not happy with the loss of one of their best players in the last minute, and claimed that Rosenborg had no respect for their club. Jamtfall started Rosenborg’s next match against Viking where he also scored a goal, and made four more appearances when Rosenborg won the league under Nils Arne Eggen’s command.
