Busto signed a one-year contract with French football club Ducs d’Angers in the Ligue Magnus on June 25, 2012. Busto was the top scorer for the Owls in the 2012-13 season, scoring 14 points in 26 games. On May 7, 2013, he was extended his contract for two years.
Busto was released by the Canadiens as a free agent after completing his entry-level contract. He will be able to play briefly in nine games with the Elmira Jackals in the 2009-10 season. On December 27, 2010, he signed a one year contract in Europe with HC Bolzano, an Italian club. Busto was a Bolzano player for 12 games before returning to the ECHL with the Las Vegas Wranglers for the 2011-12 season. Busto had a great season in the ECHL, playing in 65 games and helping to make the Wranglers playoff run as Kelly Cup finalists.
