Michael Bell is one of the most popular and richest Voice Actor who was born on July 30, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York State, United States. Known for his voice acting roles in such animated series as G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Rugrats, and The Transformers, this New York-born performer also acted in episodes of Star Trek and Dallas.

He and Charlie Adler both voiced characters in the popular 1980s animated series The Smurfs.

In 2007, he was appointed as State Fire Marshal by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. In that position he implemented the “Everyone Goes Home” program, stressing firefighter safety. That program earned the Seal of Excellence Award from the Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives Program.

In 2009, Bell ran as an independent in Toledo’s mayoral election. He ran against attorney Keith Wilkowski, a Democrat. Bell defeated Wilkowski on the November 3 election by a margin of only 2% and was sworn in on January 4,

2010. He was the second African-American mayor in the city’s history.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His wife, Victoria Carroll, had a career as an actress, as did his child, Ashley Bell.
