Mesrop Aramian is one of the most popular and richest Theologian who was born on June 20, 1966 in Yerevan, Armenia. Fr. Mesrop (baptismal Name Matevos) Aramian, was born in Yerevan on June 20, 1966.
He founded Vem, a spiritual-cultural radio station in 2002 and has been its Editor-in Chief since then.
In 2006, in association with a group of friends, he established the Ayb Educational Foundation.
On June 5, 2010, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan awarded Fr. Mesrop Aramian with Mesrop Mashtots order.
Fr. Mesrop is a student of Physics-Mathematics special school in Yerevan. In 1990, he graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a Master of Science in Engineering and Theoretical Physics. He passed Lev Landau’s “Theoretical Minimums” in 1995-1996. In 1998, he joined Vitaly Ginzburg’s theoretical physics group. On May 28, 1991, he was ordained as a priest in the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Fr. Mesrop Aramian (Armenian pronunciation: T. Mesrop kahana Aramyan; born June 20, 1966 in Yerevan SSR, Armenia) is a priest of Armenian Apostolic Church. He is also a scholar, writer and filmmaker, as well as a social entrepreneur, educator, and theologian. He is co-founder of Ayb Educational Foundation, Ayb School and a member of the Ayb School Advisory Board. He is a member of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology’s Board of Trustees. Fr. Mesrop Aramian is a member of AUAC Board of Trustees. He is also a member the Monte Melkonian Military School’s board of trustees. Fr. Mesrop Aramian, the founder and director at Gandzasar Theological Center is Fr. He is also the Editor-in-Chief and founder of Vem Radio. He is the producer and scriptwriter of the documentary From Ararat To Zion. He also created the film The Book, and was the original idea for it. Fr. Mesrop is the author of an Eastern Armenian translation of The Book of Lamentations, by St. Gregory of Narek. He is also the author of publications, articles and research studies as well as programs and educational projects.
Fr. Mesrop Aramian, Director and Editor in Chief of Gandzasar theological Center, founded it in 1991. The Center has published more than 80 publications to date.
In 2004, he created and still heads Vem Media Arts film production studio, which has released 12 environmental documentaries. Vem Media Arts has also produced two television shows: Catechism and Spiritual Discussions.
