In his first professional season in 2011 Campanale joined the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors. After just eight games, the player was traded to another ECHL rivals with the Elmira Jackals, where he continued to play for the remainder time. On the 23rd of July of 2012, Campanale renewed his contract with the Jackals for a one-year contract.

Despite re-signing with the Royals for a second season on August 20, 2014, Campanalae opted to leave for Europe in signing a one-year deal with Italian Serie A club, Hockey Milano Rossoblu.

As a child Campanale participated during the 2002 and 2001 Quebec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournaments along with his team, the Philadelphia Flyers minor ice hockey team.
