Martin Cao is one of the most popular and richest Racing Driver who was born on February 17, 1993 in Changsha, China. “Martin” Cao Hong Wei (Chinese: Cao Hong Wei born on 17 February 1993) is a Chinese racing driver from China.

The year 2012 was the time that Cao made the move back to Europe to join Fortec Motorsports to compete in Formula Renault BARC. He completed nine races in the points race to earn the fourteenth in the championship with 100 points. He also placed fifth at the end of 2012’s Formula Renault BARC Winter Series.

Cao continued his collaboration with Fortec into the British Formula 3 Championship in 2014. He finished fifteen races on the podium, including four wins. He battled with his teammate Matt Rao for the title, and clinched the championship by just two points, ahead of Rao.

In the year 2010, Cao was back in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge with the FRD Racing Team. He took five wins out of six races he competed in which was one more than the champion Sandy Stuvik – and finished fourth in the championship.

The racer was born to Hunan, Cao started his racing career in 2008 with his first race, the Chinese Formula Ford Campus Championship. He took home five races, and took home the title by a margin by seven points. In 2009, Cao placed third, with seven podiums at the Asian Formula Renault Challenge and also competed in two races in the Formula BMW Pacific Championship, in conjunction with Pacific Racing.

As of 2009 Cao continued to race with Formula BMW Pacific but he switched in 2009 to Ao’s Racing. He scored six points in nine races, and was 12th on the list of championships.

Cao remained with Fortec into 2013, staying in the newly renamed Protyre Formula Renault Championship. He won a race at Rockingham and finished fourth in the final championship standings. He finished runner-up to Ben Barnicoat in the Protyre Formula Renault Autumn Cup at Rockingham, winning one of the event’s three races.
